Today's Picture: A Pair of Pears, and catch-up

Didn't realize it's been so long, so I guess I do need some catching up! I've been progressing with my watercolors, and ventured into still life with this new painting:

"A Pair of Pears"
original watercolor by Jan Burch
Wouldn't this little painting make a great accent for your kitchen, breakfast nook, or den? It measures 9 inches high by 6 inches wide. Watercolor on 140-pound cold-pressed watercolor paper. Very affordable, too - and you don't need an account at the site to purchase. The "Buy" link goes directly to PayPal (you don't even need a PayPal account because you can pay as a guest!)

For more information and to purchase this original artwork, see it HERE or visit my my DPW Gallery on the Daily Paintworks site. While you're at my gallery, please browse around because there are more new & affordable watercolors on the top row!

PS: If you enjoy my content but don't want to get a painting right now, that's okay - another way to support my work is to simply

LuvLee the cat (whose gushie food comes from the ko-fi funds ;) and I thank you!

Today's Picture: Splash Study in Red, Yellow, and Blue

Today's picture is an experiment in smearing, dripping, and splashing paint on paper. Such a dramatic color combo, especially when contrasted with the white of the paper. The trick is in knowing when to stop!

Today's Picture: Landscape Study in Yellow and Green (and red and blue ;)

Today's picture is a little watercolor that creates the impression of a landscape - yellow fields bordered by green trees and shrubs. A scattering of red flowers under the blue sky adds extra dimension in color.
