Sneak Peek at October's Energy: The Stone

Perhaps it's time to plant your feet and sit still for a bit, dear readers. The prevailing energy-weather for October 2011 centers on The Stone:

This energy tells us to practice the attitudes of Integrity and Steadfastness. Even though it feels hard to the touch, The Stone is part of the water-element depth of emotions. The key phrase is "I Feel." As we practice staying the course and going with what feels right within, we get in touch with our own Self and our boundaries. We build awareness of the Soul.

Would you like to have a personal reading of your energy cycles? My readings have been illuminating your path since 1997! Order an online reading at: EclecticaByJan.etsy.com.For more information about the full range of intuitive services, visit my website at GeoGlowConsulting.com

Autumn Equinox Forecast: The Tunnel, The Candle, The Water

Happy Autumn, fellow-travelers! It's just hours until the Autumn Equinox, which reaches us today at 3:05 pm Mountain Time. If I seem a little dreamy today, it's because Autumn is my favorite season and we've already been getting a preview of fall's glorious weather here in Albuquerque. In honor of this seasonal transition, I went to my Star+Gate cards and pulled up this forecast reading:

Where we are now, dear readers, is The Tunnel ~

Despite its seeming darkness, the Tunnel offers us a great gift - the ability to process our inner connections. It's like all the various aspects of self coming together in harmonious dialogue. The result is greater accessibility to others. Notice that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. That is symbolized in this reading by the Candle, which is the energy coming up for us in the next 4 to 6 weeks.

The Candle reminds us to remain faithful to long-range plans, affairs and goals - and it promises fulfillment of our dreams. It is paired with the Star of Reaching, which supports us in focusing our energy as we channel our efforts to a specific direction. Our higher selves want us to pay attention to the Water, which is the energy of feelings and emotion. While it can be overwhelming, this rush of energy also purifies - carrying away the old to make room for the new. Perhaps a cleansing practice or ritual is in order as fall comes in.

Major themes of this reading involve balancing this emotional energy with our thinking faculties. If you are embarking on a new project, this is the time to gather information and prepare yourself to launch ahead. You cerebral types should remember to inquire, not judge, as you do this. And for everyone, the autumn harvest brings forth celebration, so it's a great season to communicate and socialize! Anyone up for a hayride? :)
This is great time to get a personalized reading of your energy cycles! My intuitive readings can ordered online at EclecticaByJan.etsy.com. You can also visit my website GeoGlowConsulting.com for information about all of my sales and services.

Notable Quote: A Cult of Ignorance

I saw this quote going around, and posted it on Facebook:
There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there always has been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'" - Isaac Asimov, column in Newsweek (21 January 1980)

And one of my friends commented:
Interesting. And especially who said it. Also, true. Is the celebration of ignorance just laziness, or what? (don't worry, I'm being rhetorical)
To which I replied:
Good rhetorical question ;) I think Asimov nailed it with the part about the flase notion of democracy. Ya know, one thing the Tbaggers hate about us 'liberal elitist scum' is that they think we think we're better than them (because among other things, we're smarter and better educated). Well, any normal person would use such feelings of envy as motivation to better themselves. But the tbaggers use it as an excuse to lash out and destroy everything good they can get their hands, to drag everything down to their level. They remind me of the Morlocks in Huxley's Brave New World.
Okay, I got the Morlocks wrong. They were from H.G.Wells's The Time Machine. Anyway, when I Googled the term to check which novel they came from, this little gem came up:

E - er's race of
L - little
O - odd looking cattle
I - inevitably to be eaten by the...
M - monsterous creatures
O - of the underground
R - ruling the world
L - like a species
O - of
C - crazy
K - killer mole/apes in
S - suprimeity.
Hmm, ring any bells? Just think ... tonight's GOTP debate was highlighted by audience applauding for the idea that someone without health insurance could be left to die in a coma. Crazy Killer mole/apes they are. Let's hope - and work - to make sure they NEVER acheive "supremeity."
